The Signal State – Modular Synth Logic Puzzle Game
- falcolas 4y agoOwn it; fun game. It's reminiscent of Zachtronics games, and that's a good comparison.
- sleepybrett 4y agoit's so similar to a few zachtronics games that i'm wondering if it isn't by an ex-zachtronicser
- joemi 4y agoI own a modular synth so I always figured I'd have no reason to play this game since I could just use my synth (and one of the main reasons I like it is the physicality of it). But I recently started getting into some Zachtronics games, so now I think I may have to finally check out this game.
- falcolas 4y agoI can't speak to how accurately it emulates a modular synth, but I'd imagine the answer is "not very well". It's a puzzle game ultimately, and so the individual modules are tuned to be puzzle pieces. They had a demo at one point, might still.

- nonameking2026 4y agoFun is only really had when 1) Teaching 2) Discovering 3) On drugs You can have artificial fun - but I'm doing it now, and I don't recommend.

- deluxeroyale 4y agoIsn’t his art style pretty ubiquitous. I see it all over and mid journey does a great job replicating it. He could have been commissioned to draw the art but I doubt it.

- ivanjermakov 4y agoFor anyone interested in programming logic games, take a look into Zachtronics[1]. My favorites are Opus Magnum and 20th Century Food Court from Last Call BBS. - chaosprint 4y agoThis is very cool. Reminds me of VCV Rack although it's modular synth simulator rather than a game. I am also thinking about the possibibity to make a game for music making using Glicol: https://github.com/chaosprint/glicol https://github.com/chaosprint/glicol Any suggestions on that?
