Russia's position is officially still that they can and will pump as much as Europe is willing to buy. Bear in mind that there is an entire pipeline ready and waiting to go that Germany refuses to use. Simultaneously, the other pipeline required maintenance on its compressors which were heavily delayed by Western sanctions. Not just one turbine but several needed work. This has led to the bizarre outcome that Germany put pressure on Canada to break its own sanctions regime to return a turbine that was shipped there for maintenance, whilst simultaneously refusing to allow usage of the brand new pipeline that worked, and is now blaming Russia for not reactivating the old pipeline fast enough! Their position makes no sense whatsoever, except that nobody hears the Russian story in the West due to widespread story-killing, so they accept this "Russia turned off the tap" narrative even though it's wrong.
