The site doesn't seem like bad design to me, just low-key design. It's obviously aimed at a technical audience. It also communicates "low overhead". I found it pretty appealing.
What really makes the site feel credible is the candid mentions of high margins on VPS, higher bang for buck with colocation, and specific facilities in the bay area.
- lsc 15y agoThanks. I think that sometimes I go overboard with the notes I have above and below the pricing box; but yeah, clear and minimal was my intent. (well, except for the figlet logo. That's harder to read, but eh, it does really appeal to me, and I think it makes a unique and memorable logo.)
