Because just like working in tobacco marketing it is something most people don't like talking about? PS: Personally I have nothing against a website agreeing with a company they love to include a banner linking to their software. I don't hate ads, I hate omnipresent tracking of everything I do across the internet and I hate the resulting sluggishness that comes from loading and executing tracking and ad-serving logic.
