I second this so much. Not everywhere is the USA, or a FAANG. What I do would probably be split among 2/3 positions in a large company. In a sense this means I'm less efficient, but it also means I'm able to give a lot of value to the company in a lot of different scenarios. Many more companies than you think are very happy to take that tradeoff.
