Maybe an unpopular opinion, but deactivating Facebook when I was 19 years old has benefitted me in no ways. I am now 27 years old, I hate Facebook, but the old ways of socializing are basically extinct where I live: even at University everything was organized through Whatsapp/Facebook and various Student/Town Associations do not have a website and use Facebook/Instagram.
- tintedfireglass 4y agoI'm a teenager who has no fb/insta/twitter/etc. I don't think I missed anything, I'm actually glad I did it. I use discord and occasionally reddit though.
- muzani 4y agoI think it's more like smoking or alcohol. It's a socialization tool that harms you. People who didn't get hooked don't quite feel the relief of stopping.
