I ended up using the native iOS/macOS notes app. Many features are lacking, I can only sync via iCloud, but the app syncs very well, has a decent UI and can handle attachments very well.
- orphen 4y agoI realize the OP asked for an Android app, but I'm posting this in the hope it will meet some other reader's requirements: On macOS, I've used Microsoft OneNote and the defunct Circus Ponies NoteBook. But this has been my daily driver for many years: Growly Notes: https://growlybird.com/notes/ https://growlybird.com/notes/ Years ago Growly Notes was a paid app (and I paid!), but these days it is an absolutely free download, and the developer support has been awesome. My only regret is that it is desktop macOS only.
