I quit FB a couple of years ago when the Cambridge Analytica scandal broke out. I quit WhatsApp when they unilaterally changed their privacy policies to share within the Meta group of companies and migrated to Signal (most of my friends group that kept in touch on WhatsApp moved to a Signal group). I continue to have LinkedIn (somehow, it seems to be a professional network, although of late it has become a dumpster fire with incessant sales pitches and motivational posts. The only reason I still have it is to keep in touch with former professional colleagues I have interacted with over 25+ years who also are on it). Everyone who needs to get hold of me has my phone number / email. They know how to reach me. So, I don't miss soc-media. It has freed up an incredible amount of time that was previously wasted.
