Spicy! When I started reading HN 4-ish years ago, I was intimidated by how much everyone seemed to know, and how serious the tone was. I still see people with incredible insights, but now they're more like bright spots in a pedantic brine. Did the site change? Am I trying to wring the last drops of value out of a meal no longer meant for me? Either way, I still appreciate the information-centric culture, better than all the jokes on reddit.
