Since this ban only applies to new cars, electric cars are unlikely to be a majority on the road until the 2040s possibly even the 2050s as maintaining old gasoline cars will become more desirable the harder they are to purchase new. There is plenty of time to build out the charging infrastructure and chargers will naturally be built in larger numbers as demand for them increases.
