Agreed. I actually run Docker Swarm in production for a small number of applications that are for system administrators to use and I have never had any real issues with it. It's sad to see it move towards obscurity.
- LeSaucy 4y agoNomad is the heir apparent for swarm deployments that don't want to take on all the extra complexity of k8s. I do prefer a docker-compose style yaml manifest file compared to hcl however.
- ViViDboarder 4y agoOh, I’m the opposite. I find HCL so much nicer that when I was attempting to use k8s for my home servers I decided to do it with Terraform. Now I’m running Nomad, Consul, and Vault.
