Free 6h course on fundamental cryptography with Python
- cgoessi 4y agoOver the last few months, I released 40 lessons covering fundamental concepts of classic cryptography such as encryption, cryptographic hash functions, message authentication codes and digital signatures. The course approaches cryptography as a tool to realize the 4 classic security goals confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation, and presents, how the various cryptographic primitives can be used and implemented in Python.

- teleforce 4y agoNot OP but check out this book [1]. Apress currently has back to school discount until the end of this week. - cgoessi 4y agoMany thanks for your feedback and comment. I don’t have any book recommendations, as I usually tend to go straight for papers and standard specifications. However, I found myself getting back to Dan Boneh’s Graduate Course in Applied Cryptography (http://toc.cryptobook.us/ http://toc.cryptobook.us/) a few times, as it generally makes for a good read of cryptography as a tool to realize security goals, as well as to clarify some questions regarding the theoretical underpinnings of cryptography.
