How Firefox’s Total Cookie Protection and container extensions work together

Now if they'd just make a browser for Android that was at all usable. The one they have can't do translation, so it's completely useless for me unless I stick to English-language sites. To add to this: there's a ton of great extensions for the desktop version of FF, but they don't work on the mobile version because they intentionally made it incompatible. Did Mozilla learn nothing from Microsoft's attempts at mobile phones?

But while containers would take time to implement on mobile, most of the add-ons from https://addons.mozilla.org https://addons.mozilla.org are fully usable on Firefox for Android today, via the nightly channel,[1] via forks such as Mull,[2] and via other GeckoView implementations such as SmartCookieWeb-Preview.[3] Mozilla's decision to completely block all but 18 of these add-ons from the stable and beta channels of Firefox for Android makes absolutely no sense, and looks like self-sabotage at this point.
