Prize is a cheese wheel and you're vegan.
Prize is peanut brittle and you have a nut allergy.
Prize is a trip and you have a fear of flying or it comes on a religion holiday you observe.
Prize is food and isn't Halal / Kosher.
Yes, drinking culture has probably overshot. Beer is bad for you, even in moderation. But it is common enough, reasonably well accepted in many cultures, and one can just say "no thank you".
- paganel 4y agoEating cheese and fear of flying hasn't had the same devastating effects on us or on close members of our families as alcohol has, so it is out of place to still promote it when we know how terrible it is.
- xzyyyz 4y agoThis is not about devastating effect. As adults, we take responsibility for our choices.
- RockRobotRock 4y agoThat seems a bit silly. Heart disease kills lots of people, but it's not weird to invite your friend to a BBQ, even if they're already overweight or have high cholesterol. People are responsible for themselves.
