bring about an AGI without emulating human intelligence are considered
and rejected in section 3.3.3 and chapter 12.)"
This claim seems central to the book's thesis and, at least to me, very nonobvious/unintuitive so it's odd that its support is apparently relegated to one sub-sub-chapter near the beginning and one chapter near the end of the book. The introduction doesn't really even attempt to sketch a suggestion of an argument for this.
