Exactly this. In a pay-to-play legal system this person would only be risking more by litigating. I get that we have our ideals here, but our legal system does not necessarily lead to justice - especially when asymmetric imbalances are in play. IANAL but I would not lawyer up against a huge corporation like this and expect to keep my money.
