3,000 psi are around 200 bar, that's IMHO a very high pressure, I wonder which kind of "typical" hydraulic system they are talking about, hydraulic (oleodynamic) construction machines such as excavators usually work at 160-180 bar, if it is air, 200 bar is scuba bottles filling.
- fuzzfactor 4y agoAlways good to see your messages :) Hydraulic lifts and presses will often go much higher. Enerpac makes pumps and cylinders well above this range, amazing the pressures you can get up to using a hand pump: https://www.enerpac.com/en-us/pumps-and-power-units/USPumpsManual https://www.enerpac.com/en-us/pumps-and-power-units/USPumpsM...
- jaclaz 4y agoSure, but I wouldn't call those lifts and presses "typical", or maybe better said "typical in high pressure oleodynamics". In another life I worked in building pre-compressed structures and we had for certain particular uses (electric) pumps going up to 600 bar, possibly more, but as well they weren't "typical", and they costed an arm and a leg.
