I think git is fairly easy to use (and allow for more freedom, I can choose what I want to track and what I want to commit). Sure you can go wild with git. But

I think git is fairly easy to use (and allow for more freedom, I can choose what I want to track and what I want to commit). Sure you can go wild with git. But the basic workflow is, well... basic. For the people who have a hard time with the basics, they can use the ton of GUI solutions. Git Tower comes to mind or the integrated git stuff inside VS Code.
