America is not a leader in vf, no doubt because of all the amber waves of grain we have. Japan, Korea, UAE and other nations where food security is national security are taking the lead. It's moving away from niche (tony restaurants can have fresh vegetables picked daily in December, while veggies from Argentina are still 7 to 10 days from farm to fork, so it's not as fresh). Aeroponics is a bit harder than they make it out to be. (some plants just can't live without dirt, and you need to inject oxygen to prevent root rot).
