  You're right, I did (to an extent). Homeschooling isn't really scaleable. If you did try to, you'd probably invent something that very closely resembled a school. However, my mother (who was much more heavily involved with my education) generally described her role as "less like a teacher, more like a principal". She certainly was in charge of the overall shape of the education, but a lot of the teaching happened in small group settings (effectively mutual tutoring) at the local homeschool group. Of course she did teach me lots of things in her area of expertise.
