I pushed the department on this, but it was clear: they simply did not do this. Everyone takes intro to CS. Everyone. I tested out of the maximum number of courses for my degree. It's insane. This is why I have such a low opinion of structured education. I hope to be someone's Kimo. I had my own who pushed me to build good software, not be lazy, and a lot of fundamentals on simplicity.
