I guess I am still annoyed at all that polemics built around that notion from within the pop-linguistics circuit. It may be that I am behind the curve on the state of community acceptance of Chomsky. And whereof Pearl's Bayesian Belief Networks? Nowhere in this discussion have I seen a mention of them. It would seem that they also have a role to play.
