Isn't the pendulum due for swing back first?

  Fair. Maybe? How do you know it didn't reach the end of its swing back already? It's one of those "you can tell after" I'm pretty sure the swings have not got in phase worldwide and I have to tell you I am delighted, because when they synchronise the shit gets scary, real fast.
