US pharmacists are also required to counsel patients on new medications, but our frontline pharmacists are usually too busy to handle questions about side effects and how to manage them, which you know, are important stuffs to know. I hope our German colleagues are doing better than us in that regards. We can do more to help our patients get the right medications for the right indications, with the right dose, route, formulation & at the right time! This would lead to fewer ER visits and save the healthcare system 3B+ in the US alone.
