Show HN: What is your go-to free email provider with custom domain support?
It used to be Google's workspaces, but they no longer have free accounts.
- abhishek_soni 4y agoI am using forwardemail.net, and that working fine for me, though there is a slightly delayed delivered, but I am ok with that, as I can do it all in gmail.
- wyem 4y agoI am happy with improvmx.com
- derane 4y agoSelf Hosting iRedmail with SOGO inkl active Sync
- mtlynch 4y agoGmail still supports it for free, but the process is convoluted: https://paulonteri.com/thoughts/how-to/custom-domain-with-gmail https://paulonteri.com/thoughts/how-to/custom-domain-with-gm... If you're willing to pay, Fastmail offers a much better experience with custom domains.
- itake 4y agoneat, but I don't think gmail will sign the emails being sent from the custom domain name, which may impede delivery.
- itake 4y agoZoho is ok... but is clunky, and they have slowly been removing useful features from their free plan (like IMAP support). They also limit the number of domains on the account. But it is stable, and I haven't had any issues with email delivery or problems managing the calendar. I ended up paying for Google workspaces, because I wanted a unified view of all of my email and domains.
- giovapanasiti 4y agoI'm using Migadu and I'm pretty satisfied by it
- michaelkariv 4y agoI have asked a similar question, and was pointed to your response here. From what I see at Migadu's site, it is a good service. Currently the top of my list, but the research is ongoing
- maxbaines 4y agoThanks, had not heard of Migadu. Looks to be a pretty useful service.
- punkpeye 4y agoGreat find!
