Funnily enough, you also increase the app opening rate - since user sessions for that app itself are persisted!
Let's say I send you tempemail.org via Messenger and you use it to create foo@bar. Then you close Messenger and forget about it but you realize you need foo@bar again. The only way to get it is through the Messenger app :/
