Good question, I used PDM to play a song with vocals ( https://github.com/anfractuosity/musicplayer https://github.com/anfractuosity/musicplayer ) by twiddling the memory bus and picking up via an AM radio. So wouldn't be surprised if it was possible with an LCD.
