I agree with the statement that efficient and ecological transport means getting people out of cars and shortening travel distances, not putting them from one type of cars into another. That being said, the article bashes on Musk and Uber without offering or even mentioning good alternatives and who we should really trust to improve transport. The good alternatives have been well studied, who to trust - I have no clue.

Musk deserves to be bashed on this point as he openly admitted to sabotaging high speed rail, for, what, a dream of cars driving single file in a tiny tunnel? That's appalling.
