Repurposed drugs don’t work for Covid19 (again)
- miles 4y agoFrom the study: "A total of 1431 patients were enrolled in the trial from December 30, 2020, through January 28, 2022. ... The median BMI was 30 (IQR, 27 to 34)." A BMI of 30 is not overweight - it's obese[0]. The CDC declares[1] that, "obesity worsens outcomes from COVID-19"; it "increases the risk of severe illness from COVID-19", "may triple the risk of hospitalization due to a COVID-19 infection", and is "linked to impaired immune function".
