My own experiments in doing this (http://search.cpan.org/~simcop/Language-Farnsworth-0.7.7/lib/Language/Farnsworth.pm http://search.cpan.org/~simcop/Language-Farnsworth-0.7.7/lib...) suggest that it's not so much a pit that you climb, but one that you keep digging in until you hit the other side of the planet.
