We all go through phases in our lives in which we like one genre of music but not another. For me it was Heavy Metal around the 70s and Rap in the 90s. They just didn't connect with me. I even went though a phase in the late-90s where I liked House and Trance Music while my step-son liked Classical. It used to make me laugh to see the looks on his girlfriends' faces as they came in the front-door past my thumping bass and moved through to his room where gentle Classical was playing.
