I curated a huge .OPML file that I've been using for a decade now with no problems. I cherry picked the RSS feeds by first visiting the blog, then hunting for the feed either by using an addon or using Firefox's (now defunct) RSS feed button. Currently there's 500 blogs added. I avoided feeds which were mere summaries of the blog's post, and contained the full post so I could read it entirely. No ADs. No tracking. No sidebar distractions, just pure information.
- rambambram 4y agoNice! Do you have the feeds also categorized? Any chance you have the .OPML file publicly online? With HeyHomepage.com I'm working on an 'internet friendly' website package that utilizes public .OPML files as a kind of blogroll/webring. Together with RSS feeds they form what I call 'Really Social Sites'. ;) The beauty is, it's open, whether one uses my system or some other system. Plus, there are still a lot of interesting websites that offer feeds.
