Johnson and Johnson to stop making talc-based baby powder globally
- rightbyte 4y ago"In October, J&J created a subsidiary, LTL Management, assigned the talc claims to it and put the company into bankruptcy, pausing the legal actions." Does that even have a chance of working? Just sell out the asbestos part of your business and kill it?

- mindslight 4y agoWhen you start a small business as an individual, one of the very first things you're told is to maintain strict separation between business and personal finances and operations, planned well ahead of any possible disputes, such that the corporate veil isn't pierced making you personally liable for the companies debts. Yet apparently a large company can cook up some convenient separation after the fact and actually have a chance of it holding up in court. This is the bare corruption of the dual class legal system.
