It appears to demonstrate the vaccine* ineffectual, thereby making people hesitant to use it, no?
* Using the definition of "vaccine" from 6 months ago, not the recent redefinition.
- Arnt 4y agoSo it appears. Appearances may deceive, though. See if you can find any source that says that vaccine doses are being discarded and it has nothing to do with their use-by date. The use-by dates are remarkably strict on these vaccines. Use all doses of a bottle within hours of opening it, use within days of removing from a dark freezer, use within months even if stored in a dark freezer.
- msie 4y agoNo, it doesn't mean the vaccine is ineffectual. It means it loses potency after a while. The antibodies it helps generate don't last forever in the body. Also there are several variants of the virus around. The vaccine was most effective against the first version of the virus.
