Apple has had an enormous customer base for decades, they've had a support forum for probably as long, and people have been wanting free repairs for their broken idevices since forever. And while I'm no expert on the history of Apple's support forums, I think it's safe to assume that a 49-page forum thread about an issue like this isn't a common occurrence. (maybe the butterfly keyboards got one like that) Plus Apple is not the only manufacturer with a support forum and a large customer base, and I don't think I've ever heard of a mass concentrated effort to get free repairs by spamming a support forum.
