Maybe in a fraction of the cases but from reading the thread, I, pessimistically estimate that most of the problems are user induced or a different issue.

  I'd have to agree. I don't know how many companies supply Apple with MBA M1 screens, but I've had mine since they came out. Dragged it all over the states and still no crack. I always open it in the middle, and I don't wrench it open. For some reason, some people don't understand that thin and light doesn't mean indestructible.
