Elon Musk writes column for CCP's online censor agency's magazine

- Nomentatus 4y agoThe thesis here seems to be that if Musk really opposes restricting speech, he should restrict his speech; by not addressing the people of China through the only available means. (Every publication is filtered there, not just Cyberspace China one, of course.) That conclusion doesn't automatically follow, needless to say: only if his publication would lead to more restricted speech in future can you get to that conclusion, and no such argument is given. There's no reason to think that if Elon Musk had demanded no censorship on his article (as Reagan was able to do for a TV address to the Soviet Union on a vist IIRC) that wish would have been granted, just 'cause he's Elon.
