American Spaceflight Entered Its Era of Compromise
- PaulHoule 4y agoIf anything the Shuttle program started out optimistically and soured pretty fast. Early on they were planning to launch 50 missions a year, yet this made no sense because they also expected that they'd lose a vehicle about 2% of the time which turned out to be right. At the high launch rate they would had to built a new shuttle every year.
