Well not scientific but it is certainly telling. The kind of people who brag about being members of mensa happen to be involved with questionable and often predictable subreddits. I have personally met people who are members of mensa. It's virtually all they can talk about. In my experience, it's simply a cudgel they use to get "lesser intelligent" people to comply with whatever nonsense they are saying. This lead me to the conclusion a long time ago that mensa is the place smart people go to stop working.
