His senate bid was mainly for legal protection since he can't get sued under the guise that they are "political ads".
- mlindner 4y agoSource on that one? That seems like a very strange loophole that wouldn't hold up generally in court. It'd be very easy to show during discovery that his primary incentive is profit and further demonstrate he had no intention of winning by very low vote counts.

- mlindner 4y agoI don't think you get an opt-out for political ads when you're not talking about another politician or the government itself.
- Fatnino 4y agoSo like Trump's campaign in 2015? I had the impression in late 2016 that he was like the dog that caught the car.
