Can I just say-- I'm fascinated that there is a community of "experts, collectors and fans" of automatic washing machines. Despite it's somewhat dated appearance of the website, it's no simple operation-- it contains an in depth database of manuals, photos, adverts, information, audio/video, and brochures. This is a true passion project. The best part, of course, is the forum. A surprisingly active community of men and women nakedly unashamedly delighted by automatic washing machines.
I don't know why, but finding these little communities of people is amazing to me. That there are so many people who derive true enjoyment from this random thing I've never really bothered to think about much. To me it's just a means to an end, nothing more than another object in my life. It's amazing to think there are probably communities around all sorts of things I hardly notice nor think about. Like doors to worlds I've never seen, hidden all around me in plain sight.

It's like the Terry Love forums, which are an outstanding resource for septic/well owners. But the forum regulars are all professional plumbers and well drillers. https://www.terrylove.com/forums/index.php https://www.terrylove.com/forums/index.php
