On Blenders, I got mine from the free/donation pile at the dump. It’s glass, all metal and proudly declares itself “solid state”. It has 14 speeds with a high and low and smells vaguely of ozone when you turn it on. It’s bulletproof.
- userbinator 4y agoAbout the ozone, you might want to replace the brushes and/or polish the commutator. Blenders of that design use brushed motors, and the brushes are a wear part (although they can last a long time).
- ornornor 4y agoAnd they’re dirt cheap and usually easily accessible.
