I changed a fluorescent lamp ceiling fixture this evening at my parent's house. The light was probably made in 1970 or early 70s. It fell on my head when the last screw let go unexpectedly. And it was far heavier than I was expecting about 15 pounds for a 24 inch by 12 inch light frame. I think it's made of steel I was expecting flimsy light tin. So yeah that was one durable light 52 years of operation.
