GE appliance repair guy told me not to give up my 2006-era washer/dryer when he was replacing the drain hose. Unfortunately I had to. A year later an LCD screen went bad and would cost $1K to fix. So I bought a new LG. The problem is they aren't built to last well nor be economically repairable. I'd take one or the other (or both!).
