I learnt on PHP. It allowed me to learn the full stack of web development very easily. Deployment is dead simple. You couldn't ask for a better intro into web development. There will always be a time and place for C/Rust. If you like embedded/firmware, or HFT stuff, I think rust would be a great level up.
