Western societies haven’t yet had the pleasure of being devastated by Communists. It may be necessary for this to happen for a country to build anti-Marxism into its DNA.

  The problem is that communism's supporters want it to apply to everyone rather than just themselves, so it's going to unnecessarily devastate all of us who already know how horrifically bad it is too.

I read some "edgy" internet forums about gaming and related stuff, and it's crazy how common the attitude that democracy sucks and Russia+China are the good guys is. And it's mostly people from USA and other English-speaking countries. As a person from Eastern Europe i have an urge to slap them when they repeat Russian propaganda 1:1 and consider themselves above "sheeple" who believe in the current thing. Basically Russia weaponized cynism and relativism - if you can be persuaded that each state is evil then it's fine to invade neighbors, annex their territory and and do filtration camps where you murder civilians and POVsbby thousands. The weirdest thing is that these people are mostly alt-right, they think Russia fights "globohomo". Yet some left-wing intellectuals like Chomsky but this bullshit as well... WTF PS the most frustrating thing is - these people always treat any Russian neighbors as disposable and irrelevant. No need to ask Ukrainians what they want - let Putin and Biden talk about what happens to them. Especially in left-wingers such colonialism is mind-blowing.
