Just heard a comment from Albert Speer on Hitler, saying, paraphrased, that Hitler's ignorancebof basically everything was his greatest strength. And that it turned into a disaster once this ignorant approach failed, the rules of whatever game was played started to matter and things began to fall appart. Ignoring the Nazi angle, this principle is universal it seems. Success in one field used to assume success in unrelated fields, unsuitable first princule thinking, all that works in start-ups as long as VC money can be thrown around. When that money dries up things turn south.
