How the Brain Links Gestures, Perception and Meaning
- tuatoru 4y ago> Susan Goldin-Meadow is considered a titan in the gesture field — although, as she says, when she first became interested in gestures during the 1970s, “there wasn’t a field at all.” I love these stories of "obvious in retrospect" discoveries. How was it possible that no one properly studied gestures until the 1970s? Well done, Prof. Goldin-Meadow!
- adamnemecek 4y agoI have recently realized that meaning really boils down to fixed points. So does essentially all of math, physics, probability, optimization, and a superset of computation. https://github.com/adamnemecek/adjoint https://github.com/adamnemecek/adjoint
