I've been using the beta test of this model for a little while, and plan to use it in academic applications as well. It's really remarkable in its performance and coherence: in my personal experience it's easier and faster to get closer to an intended image than it is with DALL-E. Of course the big difference is the lack of censorship/safeguards added to its operation (and the lack of a fee). If & when the model weights are released (or leaked) I think this model will be used far and wide for everything from art to political messaging to pornography. If not this model, then the next one.
Interesting times.
- eternalban 4y ago"very sexy woman with black hair, pale skin, in bikini, wet hair, sitting on the beach." Those alledged women on the beach are all freak shows. Or maybe 3 legs are 'very sexier' than 2, to say nothing of reptilian hands and big bright (very sexy) orange tumor on the hip. Does DALL-E mess up human anatomy this badly too?
- skybrian 4y agoYep, sometimes it does. Cherry picking can make up for a lot of flaws.
- klipt 4y agoYour human brain is just too limited to understand true sexiness the way an AI can, free from the bounds of a human body.
- smusamashah 4y agoSD so often makes 3,4 arms/legs unlike dalle2 which usually only makes 2. May be try changing woman to goddess for example. It still beats or stands equal with dalle2 most of the time, given right prompt. Just stay in any of the dream-x room for a while and you can see yourself. Given the size of model, it's as good as it can be.
- thorum 4y agoStable Diffusion needs more detailed prompt engineering to get good results than DALLE. But it can also handle longer and more detailed prompts. So asking for people “with two legs” and “symmetrical eyes” actually works (to some extent).
