The grass is not always greener. In my experience, this is especially true of 'migration' projects. Migrating an existing system to a new stack can be the worst of both worlds if the existing system is complex and poorly designed. I am living through this right now migrating a 20 year old tangled mess of a system to 'the cloud' and it is a nightmare. There is a lot of good advice from others here on how to pursue things though.
